Tim Power is a musician and former primary school headteacher with 30+ years sector experience. A graduate from Salford University, Tim took his musical training and expertise in brass playing, conducting, arranging and composition into a primary education career. Developing childrens' music-making in his respective schools has been at the centre of his educational philosophy, believing that music is hugely beneficial in enhancing a broad and balanced curriculum for all children.
From January, 2015 Tim has been the Curriculum Lead for Bury Music service and has developed a variety of projects working in partnership with The Greater Manchester Music Hub; The Royal Opera House Create and Sing Programme; The Met Theatre in Bury; Salford University; Bury's Primary, Secondary and Special schools.
